Hi, I'm Jesse Coggins
My name is Jesse and I'm a photographer/videographer based in Gainesville, Georgia. I first began messing with camera equipment while documenting family trips throughout the US as a young kid. After high school I was lucky enough to follow my passion and become a combat cameraman in the U.S. Army. Because of my time in the Army, I gained invaluable experience in photography and video production by participating in a variety of military missions, operations and a deployment. Through the military connections I’ve made I also was fortunate to document high profile events such as NFL season games.
I worked many years in the Atlanta film industry, especially in camera and lighting roles. During that time, I was employed on two large feature films, worked various commercials and independent short film projects. I have a great love for cinema and try to incorporate the cinematography techniques I learned throughout my time in film into my photography, especially when it comes to framing of subjects and lighting. In my spare time I like to practice and develop my photography skills, whether it be documenting my growing family’s weekend travels or experimenting with different kinds of 35mm film. Regardless of the situation, if I have a camera in hand and something to photograph, I'm pretty content.
